Tama is an enthusiastic and indomitable young hhetsarro who's lived in the Shaaloani region of Xak Tural her entire life. Her tribe are agricultural nomads, who seasonally follow their hhetso, the lunyuhiyshahe, across the rolling plains. She descends from a small group of hhetsarro of the Gopher Tribe who immigrated south from Loazeniheta several generations ago and married into the Lunyuhiyshahe tribe, bringing with them a crop called camas — a purple lily with nutritious tuber-like roots.While Tama showed great interest in and a talent for agriculture since she was quite young, camas cultivation is her pride, joy, and passion. Now that she's a young adult, she's one of the handful of experts trusted to discern where and when to intentionally set low-intensity fires on patches of prairie to keep them ecologically healthy and suitable for planting crops.Since recent events that threw all of Tural, especially the northern continent, into upheaval, Tama has been working twice as hard to support her family — diversifying types of crops grown due to loss of prairie, finding new foraging grounds, selling and trading extra harvest and hand-sewn goods to local Shaaloani businesses and households, and even working occasional odd jobs in Hhusatahwi or Sheshenewezi Springs.

Description

Tama typically wears her long wavy brunette hair in two braids, which tend to be somewhat disheveled and windblown by nature of working long hours outdoors in the elements. Her wide dark blue eyes give the impression that she misses little, even if she'll forget it in a few bells when the information doesn't seem relevant.Despite her work, it's clear that Tama takes care with her appearance — she adorns her tufted leonine tail with Yok Turali gold jewelry, and often wears necklaces and earrings in a similar style. Her clothing varies between more traditional handmade Hhetsarro garb, and last season's fashion in Hhusatahwi.Somewhat recently, Tama has started carrying around a large paintbrush and palette made from birch, and she can occasionally be found practicing some kind of bizarre, colorful spellcraft using these.

Personality

Energetic, friendly, adaptable, workaholic, whimsical, gossipy, creative, a quick learner with selective memory. Though she doesn't read or write, Tama has a near-encyclopedic knowledge of prairie crop cultivation and harvest, wild plant and mushroom foraging, and is skilled with loom, needle, and thread.

Are you a Turali who's interested in freshly grown and gathered vegetables and mushrooms delivered right to your door? While Tama is frequently seen sprinting around Shaaloani with her basket of goods, she's begun to dabble in deliveries to Tuliyollal or even further into Yok Tural. If you can somehow track her down, just ask!

9 to 5 and Odd Jobs

While she's certainly busy during spring and summer in particular, Tama is always eager to help out with any number of odd jobs. Need someone to pick up a shift at the saloon? Garden giving you trouble this season, and you want a consultation? Need a courier in a pinch? Socks need to be darned? Want to commission a special garment, blanket, or painting for yourself or as a gift?

  • I’m a 30+ year old busy adult that works full time. RP is my fun hobby, let's keep it fun!

  • I prefer in-game RP over Discord, and need to set aside time for RP in advance (generally weekdays after 5pm PST and anytime on weekends).

  • This character is on Crystal DC (Balmung) but I'm willing to travel elsewhere.
